1. What are the objectives and approach of the Value Mapping Tool?

The Value Mapping Tool has the following specific objectives:

  • map the positive and negative aspects of your value proposition, for all stakeholders involved (direct and indirect stakeholders);

  • identify conflicting values (i.e. a value that is positive for one actor may be negative for another);

  • identify opportunities to create value in your system, in order to eco-innovate and/or mature your project.

This method offers numerous benefits. Simple to use, it can be easily implemented in your eco-innovation process. In addition, it offers a simple and effective way of integrating the "stakeholder" approach into your process. Last but not least, it is extremely resource-efficient in terms of people, time and resources.
